The UAB Breast Health Clinic invites Dr. Forero's patients to join the BCRFA to wish Dr. Forero the best in his new endeavor at Seattle Genetics
The UAB Breast Health Clinic invites Dr. Forero's patients to join the Breast Cancer Research Foundation of Alabama in wishing Dr. Forero farewell at the after party of BCRFA's charity motorcycle ride, Revvin' 4 Research. If you'd also like to register to participate in the motorcycle ride, which will depart from Pelham, please visit Revvin4Research.com.
Dr. Forero has accepted a position at Seattle Genetics and will be the Executive Medical Director of their Breast Cancer Medical Strategy Program. While we will miss him in Birmingham, he believes that this is the right next step for him in his goal of defeating breast cancer. He will be able to devote all of his time to translational research and drug development helping patients with breast cancer.
Dr. Forero currently holds the O'Neal-Sokol Breast Cancer Research Foundation of Alabama Endowed Chair and has been an integral supporter of the BCRFA for over 15 years. He plans to continue his involvement with the BCRFA after he moves. The foundation is an independent 501C3 nonprofit organization supporting innovative research to help diagnose, treat, prevent and eradicate the disease. Since its inception in 1996, the BCRFA has contributed over $7.7 million to fund research at the UAB Comprehensive Cancer Center and their collaborative partners. All funds raised stay here in the state of Alabama, but the research has a global, life-saving impact.
