$525 towards $500

As most of you know our family has been “touched” several times by the #stupidpinkcancer. My mom passed away from metastatic breast cancer in Oct 2010. We have a maternal cousin who had breast cancer several years ag, and my sister, Deborah is currently still dealing with the effects of breast cancer and multiple surgeries (even as recent as this week). One of my oldest friends has been diagnosed recently with breast cancer. Tomorrow it could be me, my daughters, other family members or friends. Research for earlier detection and better/more effective treatment is the best way I know of to help improve the diagnosis rate and survival rate. Greg and I are running the 5k and many other family members will be doing the 1 mile. Please join us in Deborah’s and our family’s fight. God forbid, it could end up being your fight too!

Join me in funding research and saving lives. Help give hope to breast cancer patients and survivors with a gift to the Breast Cancer Research Foundation of Alabama.

Just a small donation will go a long way to helping me meet my fundraising goal for the Breast Cancer Research Foundation of Alabama and Pink Up The Pace!

About the Breast Cancer Research Foundation of Alabama

Founded in 1996, the Breast Cancer Research Foundation of Alabama (BCRFA) is a nonprofit organization whose mission is to help find a cure for breast cancer by funding promising breast cancer research in Alabama and raising community awareness and funding for that research. BCRFA funds promote a comprehensive approach to battling breast cancer by promoting collaborative and innovative research to help diagnose, treat, prevent, and eradicate the disease.

With community support, BCRFA has invested nearly $14 million in life-saving breast cancer research and treatments across Alabama since its founding in 1996. Most recently, in December 2022, we announced an annual investment of $1.275 million to our grantee partners, including the O’Neal Comprehensive Cancer Center at the University of Alabama at Birmingham (UAB), Auburn University, CerFlux, the Mitchell Cancer Institute at the University of South Alabama, the University of Alabama, Tuskegee University, and HudsonAlpha Institute for Biotechnology. All funding stays in Alabama, but the impact is worldwide.
