In January 2017, my mama was diagnosed with Stage 3 Triple Negative Breast Cancer. I was a teenager and honestly had no idea how much that moment would change my life.
I watched my mama go through 12 rounds of chemo and 6 weeks of radiation. I watched her lose her hair, get sick, hurt, cry, and go through things no woman should have to experience. But through it all, she was still my mama. She would literally finish chemo and still sit in the car at my softball games just to watch me play.
Now, years later, I’m honored to serve on the Junior Board of the Breast Cancer Research Foundation. This means so much to me because this isn’t just a cause I support. It’s personal for me.
I’m doing this for my mama and for every woman and family affected by breast cancer. If you’re able, I’d love your support as I raise money for a cause that is so close to my heart.
